We are currently hiring for a distribution role within the Client Coverage Group at State Street Investment Management (SSIM). This position is part of our U.S. Wealth team and is focused on building and expanding relationships with top financial advisors in the Broker Dealer Channel across the South Florida market. The Regional Consultant will partner with financial advisors and key decisionmakers to drive business development, product adoption, and sales execution. The role serves as a trusted advisor and represents the U.S. Wealth teams distribution efforts throughout the territory.
This position will be based in the West Palm Beach-Fort Lauderdale-Miami area.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and grow key client and strategic partner relationships with National, Independent and Regional Broker Dealers across South Florida, as a member of the U.S. Wealth Team.
- Identify client needs across a range of business models and deliver relevant market insights, product information, investment ideas, and sales support.
- Demonstrate strong investment acumen and act as an expert on SSIM solutions, including ETFs, cash strategies, DC solutions, and model portfolios.
- Educate clients and prospects on product positioning, holdings, and investment results, and clearly articulate what differentiates SSIM from competitors.
- Drive Net New Assets (NNA) and Net New Revenue (NNR) by cultivating new relationships and deepening engagement with existing partners across concentrated areas of wealth.
- Lead and coordinate regional travel with key subadvisory partners and index providers, including the World Gold Council, DoubleLine Capital, Blackstone Credit, Apollo, Bridgewater Associates, Galaxy Asset Management, Nuveen, MSCI, and S&P.
- Develop and activate fieldlevel centers of influence within the Broker-Dealer channel, including specialists, branch leadership, and influential teams within complex organizations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal business partners, including Product, Internal Sales, Marketing, Research, Capital Markets, Events, and Business Intelligence to effectively deliver SSIM resources and capabilities to clients.
- Partner closely with the Internal Sales Team to deliver comparative analytics, capital markets insights, and actionable investment ideas to clients.
- Promote awareness and understanding of SSIMs strategy, priorities, and investment capabilities in client meetings, conferences, and industry events.
- Mentor and support internal team members, contributing to a collaborative and highperforming culture.
- Demonstrate risk excellence and uphold the highest ethical standards in all client and internal interactions.
- Pursue continuous improvement by refining sales skills and engaging in ongoing professional development.
These skills will help you succeed in this role
- Bachelors degree required.
- FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses required.
- CFA, CIMA, or similar investment industry designations preferred.
- 7 years of experience in the investment management industry preferred, with at least 5 years in sales or business development, ideally within the Broker Dealer channel.
- Strong investment acumen and technical proficiency across ETFs, mutual funds, alternatives, separate accounts, model portfolios, and related products.
- Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal partners.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationshipbuilding skills.
- Demonstrated leadership, initiative, and commitment to excellence.
- Ability to adapt quickly, think creatively, and operate with sound judgment.
- Willingness to travel extensively and manage a dynamic, territorybased schedule.
Salary Range:
$100,000 - $171,250 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
