Position DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Brazing Technical Trainer to develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for new employees. This role is crucial for ensuring all new starters are proficient in safe and standardized brazing techniques, maintaining our commitment to quality and safety excellence, While also actively supporting the wider Health and Safety culture across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Training Development: Design, develop, and update engaging and effective training materials, including presentations, practical exercises, instructional manuals, and assessments, covering all aspects of brazing and associated safety protocols.
- Safety Instruction: Conduct thorough training sessions on all safety procedures related to brazing, including proper handling of equipment, ventilation, personal protective equipment (PPE), fire prevention, and emergency response.
- Technical Instruction: Deliver hands-on and classroom instruction on brazing theory, including metallurgy, joint design, filler metal selection, flux application, torch adjustment, pre-heating, and post-braze cleaning.
- Standardization: Train new employees on established company brazing standards and industry best practices (e.g., PED , BSI) to ensure consistent, high-quality results across all operations.
- Assessment & Certification: Evaluate trainee performance through written and practical tests, providing constructive feedback and certifying successful completion of the training program.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate training records, track trainee progress, and document all training activities and certifications.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with new brazing technologies, materials, and safety regulations, updating training programs as necessary.
- Mentorship: Serve as a technical resource and mentor to new employees during their initial onboarding period.
Required Education & Qualifications- 5+ years of brazing experience.
Education Requirements:- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification in brazing or welding preferred.
