Compensation: $140,000 - $180,000 / year
DescriptionYou know how to lead people, build client trust and keep projects moving in the right direction. Now bring that experience to Fehr Graham and help guide our East Peoria office.
This is not a role that is only about managing people or projects. You'll lead the branch, stay close to clients, manage projects and help identify where Fehr Graham can grow. You'll work with our Business Unit Leaders, President and other leaders across the firm to turn strategy into action.
What you'll doYou'll lead the East Peoria office with responsibility for people, clients, projects and business performance. You'll:
- Oversee day-to-day branch operations and support the people who work in East Peoria.
- Work with other managers, senior leaders and marketing to identify market and client opportunities and develop business development strategies.
- Build trusted relationships with clients and prospective clients, including key decision-makers and influencers.
- Manage projects from contract through completion, keeping scope, schedule, budget and invoicing on track.
- Prepare client contracts, statements of qualifications and fee proposals.
- Understand client needs, help solve complex problems and identify ways Fehr Graham can add value.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate resources across the firm to meet client needs.
- Monitor branch and project performance, including net revenue, profitability and write-offs.
- Communicate technical and business issues clearly with clients and colleagues.
- Stay current on market, client and technology trends and share relevant information with the team.
- Represent Fehr Graham at client meetings, presentations, community events and industry events.
- Recruit, coach, mentor and develop staff.
What it takesYou'll be a strong fit if you have a bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field and at least eight years of experience in staff supervision, client relations, business development or project management. You'll also bring:
- Experience in the consulting industry.
- A track record of successfully managing projects and people.
- Experience building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- A strong understanding of federal, state and local regulations related to engineering projects.
- The ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage competing priorities.
- The ability to communicate technical concepts clearly with clients and coworkers.
- A genuine interest in coaching, mentoring and developing staff.
- A professional license in your discipline is preferred.
