Scope of Position: The Vancouver Branch Manager is accountable for driving overall branch sales performance, including revenue growth, margin, and financial performance. This role sets the strategic direction, aligns branch objectives with corporate priorities, and drives execution across all functions to deliver sustainable growth. The position partners with senior leadership on key business decisions while building and leading a high-performing team, ensuring strong engagement, accountability, and excellence. Success is measured by achieving sales and margin targets, developing talent, strengthening market presence, and contributing to overall regional performance.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish and execute branch-level strategy aligned with corporate objectives, with full accountability for revenue, margin, and overall financial performance.
- Drive sales growth through the development, coaching, and leadership of sales and support teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Provide strategic guidance, direction, and oversight of sales team to ensure alignment towards common goals.
- Lead the analysis of sales performance and review progress (daily, weekly, monthly) to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
- Provide and lead customer calls, taking ownership of both sales and technical support discussions.
- Lead, deliver, and recommend product training initiatives that improve team effectiveness and build product knowledge.
- Develop and strengthen key account relationships through strategic customer engagement, including regular on-site visits.
- Oversee administrative and CSR functions within the branch who support the sales team.
- Conduct weekly sales meetings, resolve day-to-day personnel issues, represent the company to the local and industry community.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- College/University Diploma required (Business, and/or sales & Marketing degree).
- Experience in wire and cable, distribution, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Ability to travel locally up to 30% of the time.
- Minimum 7-10 years of related experience.
- Previous management experience required.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
