Full Job Description
Consumers Credit Union (CCU) is hiring a Branch Manager to lead our Elgin-area branches, including Elgin Main, Gail Borden Main, Gail Borden South (South Elgin), and Elgin Mental Health Center. This role will provide leadership, coverage, and operational support across all four locations.

As the Elgin Branch Manager, you will lead a team of employees and oversee all branch operations. This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced banking professional that is forward-thinking, collaborative, has a successful business development track record, good sales acumen, and a passion for employee development, coaching, and team engagement.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage branch profitability performance including financial key performance indicators, market share & competition analysis, and contribution margins of the branches for income.
  • Ensure exceptional member experience levels for overall satisfaction with the branches contributing to the organizational Net Promoter Score (NPS).
  • Oversee operational efficiencies for cash controls, accuracy in transactions, and physical security & safety.
  • Develop and implement ongoing sales campaigns, combining with marketing efforts and other departments, such as wealth management advisors and lending sales.
  • Assess and implement strategies from member survey results; you'll consistently identify ways to improve member experience and decrease barriers.
  • Utilize reports to assess metrics and make necessary improvements for results; you'll ensure your team understands the goals and results.
  • Meet with team to review sales and service performance standards; you'll coach on performance as appropriate.
  • Ensure applicable compliance and regulatory guidelines are being followed.
  • Monitor and ensure coaching is occurring for quality control and audit findings; you'll implement mitigating steps to avoid future issues.
  • Serve as management lead for member escalations for the branch.
  • Ensure policies and procedures are accurate and being followed.
  • Provide clear communications to team for appropriate organizational, department and team information, to include marketing campaigns and human resources changes.
  • Evaluate staffing levels, while assessing the budget and member needs. Assist in the assessment of technology adoption and other self-capabilities for members.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities. You'll actively participate in human resources related activities including recruiting, performance management, employee relations, and problem resolution decisions.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales or closely related
  • 5+ years of experience in business management, customer service, retail or related. 2+ years being in financial services
  • 2+ years of people management experience
  • Successful with team development, coaching, leadership, communication and management skills, with a true passion for service.
  • Ability to drive between branches for coverage and oversight.
  • Flexibility to work full time (40-45 hrs/week) and manage the branch to open, close, and operate according to these hours:
    • Mon-Friday 8:00AM-6:00PM; Sat 8:00AM-2:00PM.

Compensation & Benefits:

The salary range for this role is $67,980 to $108,768 per year. This role is eligible for an annual bonus opportunity. A specific salary offer considers factors including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
