The Branch Manager serves as the senior leader of the dealership location and is accountable for overall branch performance. This position drives profitable growth, market share expansion, customer satisfaction, employee development, safety performance, and operational excellence across Sales, Parts, Service, Rental, and Technology support. The role requires a hands-on, business-minded leader who can align department managers, enforce consistent processes, build strong customer relationships, and create a branch culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and superior service.

The Ideal Candidate
You are currently a Branch Manager, General Manager, Operations Manager, Product Support Manager, Sales Manager, or similar leader within a construction equipment, industrial distribution, rental, transportation, or capital equipment organization.
More importantly, you aspire to lead beyond the boundaries of a single department or branch and have demonstrated the ability to build high-performing teams that consistently deliver results and excellent customer experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review financial statements and adjust strategies to improve profitability.
- Ensure the maintenance, condition, and proper utilization of all branch assets.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and administrative requirements.
- Manage customer receivables and enforce established credit and collection policies.
- Build, develop, and retain a high-performing leadership team capable of achieving branch objectives while creating a strong internal talent pipeline for future growth.
- Coach department managers to think strategically, solve problems independently, and lead their teams with confidence, accountability, and sound decision-making.
- Establish and reinforce a culture where expectations are clearly defined, commitments are honored, and accountability is applied consistently and respectfully.
- Lead through visibility and engagement by maintaining a strong presence with employees, customers, and managers to understand business conditions, support teamwork, and drive results.
- Foster a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, learning, and professional development across all levels of the organization.
- Address performance concerns promptly while recognizing, rewarding, and celebrating outstanding contributions and achievements.
- Supervise Branch Sales Managers and provide leadership to support sales growth and market expansion.
- Assist in locating equipment and resources to meet rental and customer demands.
- Review sales performance metrics and implement strategies to increase market share.
- Promote sales engagement and cross-functional collaboration across all product and service lines.
- Supervise Service and Parts Managers to ensure exceptional customer support and operational effectiveness.
- Resolve customer concerns and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Drive customer engagement, retention, and transaction growth through strong relationship management.
- Maintain and regularly review a Customer at Risk list to proactively address customer retention opportunities.
Required Qualifications:
- Leadership Experience: Proven ability to build, develop, and retain high-performing leadership teams while creating a strong internal talent pipeline for future growth.
- Industry Experience: Background in heavy equipment, construction equipment, industrial services, dealership operations, or a related industry.
- Coaching & Development: Demonstrated success coaching managers and supervisors to think strategically, solve problems independently, and lead teams with confidence and accountability.
- People Management: Experience establishing clear performance expectations, driving accountability, managing performance issues, and recognizing employee contributions.
- Operational Leadership: Ability to lead through visibility and engagement while maintaining a strong understanding of business operations, customer needs, and workforce dynamics.
- Culture Building: Strong track record of fostering a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, learning, and professional development.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels of the organization
Preferred Qualifications
- Multi-Department Leadership: Experience leading managers across multiple functional areas, including sales, service, parts, operations, or other branch-based business units.
- Change Management: Experience leading organizational change initiatives, process improvements, and workforce development programs.
- Customer Engagement: Demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships and align operational strategies with customer and business objectives.
- Bilingual: Spanish/English reading, writing, and speaking skills.
Work Environment:
- Office-Based Role: Primarily based in our Long Beach headquarters with occasional visits to regional locations as needed.
- Collaborative Setting: Work within a supportive, team-oriented office environment that values open communication and efficiency.
- Occasional Travel: Some travel may be required for meetings or company events, reflecting our commitment to connecting teams across the Western United States.
What We Offer:
- Salary: $190,000 - $235,000.00
