Job Summary:

The Branch/Clinical Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and management of all financial, and clinical operation activities and programs for their Branch. The Branch/Clinical Manager establishes, implements and evaluates goals and objectives for home health services that meet and promote the standards of quality and contribute to the total organization and philosophy.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Planning and directing operations of their Branch to ensure the provision of adequate and appropriate care and services.
  2. Budgeting and management of allocated branch budget.
  3. Ensuring branch compliance with legal, regulatory and accreditation standards.
  4. Ensuring program personnel have current clinical information and current practices.
  5. Evaluating clinical services and programs.
  6. Ensuring personnel development including orientation, in-service education and continuing education for clinical staff.
  7. Ensuring that appropriate service policies are developed and implemented.
  8. Directing personnel in performance of their duties including admission, discharge and provision of service to patients.
  9. Assuring appropriate personnel supervision during all operating hours.
  10. Receiving case referrals, determining home care needs, and assigning appropriate clinicians to case as needed.
  11. Instructing and guiding clinicians to promote more effective performance and delivery of quality home care services
  12. Assisting clinicians in establishing immediate and long-term therapeutic goals, in setting priorities, and in developing plan of care, coordinate clinical care within the office.
  13. Leading case conference meetings with organization personnel to facilitate coordination of care
  14. Assuring that care is in accordance with Federal and State guidelines
  15. Managing quality of care through case supervision and on-site evaluation of services in the home as appropriate
  16. Assisting with complaint resolution, risk management issues, and guidance procedures as needed

Position Qualifications:
  1. Physical therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Registered Nurse with a valid and current license to practice in the state of California.
  2. Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct professional administrative personnel.
  3. At least three to five years of experience in health care management preferably in health care management and at least one year of supervisory experience in home health care or health related programs.
  4. Knowledge of business management, governmental regulations and standards.
  5. Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order.

  1. Ability to market aggressively and deal tactfully with the community.
  2. Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills.
