Job Announcement Under the supervision of the Chief of Bonds and Addressing Center, receives and reviews site construction plans and Surety Value Estimate (SVE) for compliance with county policies and regulations for the purpose of establishing bond, conservation escrow, inspection fee and pro-rata share amounts to be provided in support of development agreements. Generates bond and permit packages and transmits to developers. Reviews new bond and permit packages for accuracy, signature authority, proper legal format and acceptance. Prepares new bond and permit packages for review by Bond Committee. Reviews extension requests, surety reductions and replacements for proper legal format and acceptance. Examines SVEs for accuracy and performs mathematical calculations to determine amount of bond reduction. Reviews amendments to developer agreements, Extension applications, amendments to corporate sureties, and letters of credit for conformance with codes and requirements. Reviews project status, determines extension length and calculates inspection fees. Manages prompt resolution of land development projects in default by collaborating with the County Attorney's Office, field staff, Capital Facilities, developers, engineers, and team members involved in the bonding process. Oversees the processing of construction plans and plats to ensure all the required conditions have been satisfied prior to approval of the project for construction.
Provides customer support during bonding process. Enforces codes, standards and county regulations uniformly and consistently in the review of bondable items, new bond and permit packages, extensions, reductions, replacements and default projects. A key responsibility is delivering exceptional customer service. Customer support is delivered through in-person, phone, and virtual channels, with staff providing subject matter expertise to address real-time inquiries. Additionally, this position collaborates with colleagues both within and outside the business unit to ensure efficient service delivery and timely resolution of customer needs. Complies with LDS s safety program and guidelines. Complies with county, agency, and job specific training, including but limited to Emergency Management and Safety related courses.

Employment Standards MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to high school graduation or a GED issued by a state department of education; plus, four years of engineering technical support work.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check to the satisfaction of the employer.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:- 2 years of experience in Land Development Customer Service.
- 2 years of working knowledge of Land Development related ordinances and regulations.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate technical topics to internal and external customers.
- Experience with electronic permitting and addressing software.
- Ability to read/interpret construction documents and agreements.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to operate computer driver equipment. Position is generally sedentary. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
