You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse and challenging caseload as VSCNL is the only specialty center in Newfoundland and Labrador and is an ocean away from the nearest center on mainland Canada.

The Veterinary Specialty Centre of Newfoundland and Labrador was originally founded to make sure that no pet owner would have to leave the province to get the proper care their pet needs. We offer chemotherapy, run a canine blood donor program and have the only ICU that is fully staffed 24 hours a day. When it comes to diagnosing and treating the pets of Newfoundland and Labrador, we are there for them every day! We are currently expanding our facility with additional growth for services to be added in the future.

Through our comprehensive approach, we are able to provide the opportunity to practice gold standard medicine. As an emergency and referral hospital, our emergency department handles an exciting and diverse caseload, inspiring lifelong learning and growth. We are a hospital that cares strongly for our patients. Our motto is: expert care, close to home!

Our rehabilitation service is well equipped with a large gym area, underwater treadmill, laser, TENS and therapeutic ultrasound. Diagnostic imaging capabilities are all available with an in house 32 slice GE CT and a 1.5 T MRI.

Our hospital offers a stimulating, fast-paced work environment where teamwork and high-quality care is at the heart of what we do. Outside a team that works together like family day-to-day, work-life balance is strongly encouraged and supported, as schedules are optimized to minimize fatigue.
