The Program Director, under general direction, directs the administration of assigned programs, including planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and controlling program activities.
Essential DutiesProgram Management and Leadership- Develops Board program goals, objectives, policies, and procedures
- Manages all board operations, including meeting planning, agendas, board books, and Board member onboarding
- Ensures Board program objectives are met
- Manages Board recruitment opportunities
Board Relations Engagement- Tracks board member engagement, participation and giving
- Develops strategies to increase board effectiveness and engagement
- Creates and manages Board stewardship opportunities
- Develops and executes, alongside CEO and Development lead, engagement strategy aligned with institutional priorities
- Builds relationships with Board members and Bush Administration alumni to expand engagement opportunities.
Budget and Resource Management- Develops and manages program budgets alongside CFO
- Collaborates with Development leadership to align board and alumni engagement with development and resourcing initiatives
- Evaluates Board programs and recommends budget improvements based on participation and outcomes
Program Monitoring and Reporting- Maintains program activity records and provides monthly progress reports

Required Education and Experience- Bachelor's degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ten years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications- Five to seven years of proven experience building and managing relationships with high-net-worth individuals, subject matter experts, and senior leaders, preferably within a board or governance environment
- Proficiency with CRM systems, including Raiser's Edge NXT
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
- Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong public speaking, organizational, leadership, and supervisory skills
- Maintains attention to detail and utilizes sound judgment
Other Requirements and Factors- This position is security sensitive
- This position requires compliance with state and federal laws/codes and Texas A&M University System/TAMU policies, regulations, rules and procedures
