Job Title: Blackstone Credit and Insurance - Private Credit Strategies- Senior Associate
Job Responsibilities:- Draft investment memos detailing potential take-privates, the investment merits / risks and a financial model for the deal.
- Model out company's historical financials, which needs to be obtained from annual/quarterly filings).
- Draft business quality pages, which effectively analyzes the risks of the business.
- Primarily responsible for investing in technology companies utilizing intimate understanding of the operational side of companies, as well as the rationale behind different tech products.
- Make adjustments to EBITDA and create lender models, relying on a fundamental understanding of accounting.
- Perform financial decision making which is applicable to all forms of investment: stocks, bonds, real estate.
- Primarily responsible for structuring deals with debt, as well as using preferred equity, equity co-invest or warrants.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications:Education:
- Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Financial Engineering, Management Science, or a related field required.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in job offered or related occupations required.
Alternate Experience/Education:
- In lieu of a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Financial Engineering, Management Science, or a related field plus 5 years of experience in job offered or related occupations, employer will accept a Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Financial Engineering, Management Science, or a related field plus 2 years of experience in job offered or related occupations.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience using Microsoft Excel to build and audit detailed software credit models, including integrated financial statements, ARR roll builds, cash flow forecasting, debt schedules, and sensitivity / downside analyses.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience using Microsoft PowerPoint to prepare investment committee materials and deal updates summarizing diligence findings, key risks, and proposed structuring / terms.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience conducting end-to-end diligence for software investments including leading calls with industry experts, developing management and sponsor Q&A and diligence agendas, analyzing data rooms and third-party market and financial diligence materials.
- Experience can be concurrent.

Expected annual base salary range:$183,000 - $215,000
Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation and benefits offered in connection with the role consist of comprehensive health benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and FSA benefits; paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; and discretionary bonuses. Certain employees may also be eligible for equity and other incentive compensation at Blackstone's sole discretion.
