Full Job Description
Description: The Biostatistician III will assume a statistical lead within a team of statisticians to carry out all statistical tasks and responsibilities within a wide range of collaborative research studies, including clinical trials, varying from small phase 1 to large phase 3 studies across many different study designs and disease areas. A great degree of leadership and initiative is expected of the Biostatistician III.

Major duties and responsibilities:
  • Prepare statistical sections of proposals/protocols and contribute to overall study design
  • Prepare statistical analysis plans
  • Prepare data monitoring plans
  • Create programming specifications and mock Tables, Figures, and Listings
  • Produce interim and final statistical analysis reports
  • Participate in the authoring of manuscripts
  • Perform validation and peer review
  • Attend professional meetings and short courses to expand or maintain professional knowledge and expertise, and participate in informal seminars and training sessions within the organization
  • Assume a leadership role within Frontier Science or on specific projects to which the organization plays a major role. This may include:
    • Organize internal seminars or similar knowledge sharing sessions within the organization
    • Mentor junior or new hire statistical, epidemiological, or statistical programming staff at Frontier Science
    • Participate in scientific committees of major networks
    • Serve in a formal leadership capacity for Frontier Science

Required qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in biostatistics, statistics, or closely related field
  • At least 20 years of experience as a Biostatistician, or similar position, along with a proven record of success
  • Experience with major statistical computing packages, such as SAS and R
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including scientific writing
  • Experience working with clinical trials research
