About the Role:
The Biomedical Equipment Technician III (BMET III) provides expert-level repair, preventive maintenance, calibration, and technical support for complex biomedical and imaging equipment across LifeBridge Health facilities. The BMET III serves as a senior technical resource, exercises independent judgment in advanced troubleshooting, mentors junior technicians, and supports regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Independently assess equipment failures and determine appropriate repair strategy.
- Performs advanced troubleshooting and component-level repair on complex biomedical systems.
- Coordinates vendor preventative maintenance activities and ensure contract compliance.
- Provides cross-site support across LifeBridge Health hospitals. Travel between sites as operational needs require
- Serves as mentor and technical resource for BMET I and BMET II staff.
- Participates in rotating on-call coverage and responds to emergent equipment failures.
- Manages the performance and development of individuals and teams.
Qualifications:
- AA degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics or related field preferred.
- 5 to 7 years of progressive biomedical equipment experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in complex medical systems.
- Must have imaging experience. On call rotation.
Pay Range: $31.94 to $47.91 Based On Experience
