The Opportunity

The BIM Quality Specialist is responsible for ensuring the integrity, quality, compliance, and performance of BIM deliverables across infrastructure projects. This role serves as a technical resource for troubleshooting BIM and CAD-related issues, conducting model health assessments, and supporting project teams through quality assurance and quality control initiatives.

The successful candidate will leverage WSP-developed tools, auditing tools, and reporting platforms to identify risks, monitor compliance metrics, analyze model quality trends, and communicate actionable insights to project teams and leadership.

Your Impact
  • Perform BIM QA/QC reviews of Civil 3D and Revit models to verify compliance with project standards, BIM Execution Plans, and organizational requirements.
  • Conduct model health assessments and identify issues related to data integrity, object standards, coordinate systems, references, file performance, and model structure.
  • Troubleshoot complex BIM quality, ACC, and BIM workflow issues, providing technical support and guidance to project teams.
  • Execute and interpret results from WSP-developed BIM auditing and quality control scripts.
  • Analyze quality metrics, model health indicators, and compliance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations that effectively communicate BIM quality metrics, project health indicators, and compliance performance to project teams and leadership.
  • Review project models against naming conventions, metadata requirements, classification standards, and project-specific BIM requirements.
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of BIM quality standards, model auditing procedures, and digital delivery processes.
  • Collaborate with BIM Managers, Discipline Leads, and Project Teams to resolve model quality issues and improve project delivery outcomes.
  • Assist with root cause analysis of recurring BIM and CAD issues and contribute to the development of preventative solutions.
  • Support automation initiatives related to model health monitoring, reporting, quality assurance, and data validation workflows.
  • Prepare technical documentation, guidance material, and lessons learned to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead BIM Quality Technical meetings and open sessions to gather feedback and post project-specific recommendations to the design team.


The Skills That Set You Apart
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in BIM, CAD, Digital Delivery, or BIM Quality Management.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to BIM workflows.
  • Experience reviewing and assessing model quality, standards compliance, and BIM deliverables.
  • Experience interpreting data from automated auditing tools, model health assessments, and BIM quality reviews.
  • Strong understanding of BIM data structures, metadata requirements, naming conventions, and information management principles.
  • Experience creating reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI or similar reporting platforms.
  • Ability to communicate technical findings and quality metrics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and a passion for process improvement.
  • Working knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, Civil3D and multidisciplinary model environments is a plus.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Engineering, BIM, Digital Delivery, Construction Technology, or a related field
  • Experience supporting large infrastructure, transportation, rail, or multidisciplinary projects
  • Knowledge of ISO 19650 principles and information management frameworks is a plus
  • Experience with Power BI, Dynamo, Python, Civil 3D automation, or other scripting technologies
  • Experience supporting enterprise BIM standards and quality improvement initiatives


Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $77 400 - $102 500

MB & ON: $70 600 - $97 200

NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $69 900 - $92 900
