Full Job Description
Job Summary:

The BIM Lead is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the BIM team and spearheading large BIM projects.

General Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ability to perform all BIM Coordinator's responsibilities.
  • Oversee and track model and drawing progress for multiple projects.
  • Be the technical and design first point of contact for the BIM team.
  • Review contracts & contract documents to ensure compliance with contract terms.
  • Review models and drawings for quality assurance/quality control in accordance with CAD/BIM standards, and project-specific BIM execution plan.
  • Meet with clients (existing and potential), contractors, and project staff.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

  • Oversee and supervise BIM Coordinators and overall activities of the BIM team, including staffing, job assignments, and training.
  • Interview applicants and train new hires.
  • Conduct performance reviews, including setting and tracking goals.
  • Develop training materials to meet IES and BIM team needs.

Qualifications

Education, Certification, License, and Skill Requirements:
  • Must possess at least a High School Diploma or GED equivalency; Associates Degree Required.
  • Must have at least five (5) years of experience working as a BIM Coordinator, Detailer, or modeler.
  • Must possess five (5) years of experience or equivalent education/training that demonstrates the usage of computer-aided design software. AutoCAD and REVIT experience and proficiency required. Visio and Navisworks experience is a plus.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Email.
  • Must have the mental capacity to understand and apply job-related concepts, technologies, instructions, procedures, computer and software operations, input data and create/annotate drawings with a very high degree of accuracy consistently with high output and minimum supervision.
  • Must meet Company minimum driving standards.
