GFT is seeking a Principal Designer, Revit Modeler to fill a position within our Water team. This role is based out of the Edmonton, AB area.
What you’ll be challenged to do:
This represents a tremendous opportunity for a passionate professional to use their design background to assist project teams across North America on a wide array of municipal and industrial water and wastewater clients to meet their regulatory water quality needs, while working with a collaborative and supportive team.
In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Responsible for assigned projects with the ability to meet deadlines, budgets, and prioritize assignments while maintaining quality standards and accuracy.
- Collaborate on multi-discipline, multi-company projects.
- Prepare three-dimensional models and renderings using Revit
- Prepare and assemble design documents.
- Assist project managers with model presentation for project teams and client meetings.
- Complete Revit Project Setup.
- Download, review, and understand design drawings and models to accurately present and coordinate designs. Communicate design changes and issues with the Project Manager and the Design Team.
- Provide layouts for project structures including Treatment Plants, lift stations and pump stations from information provided by senior designers and Project Engineers.
- Ability to take direction and participate in quality reviews of work products.
- Generate Revit content to add to our growing library of Revit families.
What you will bring to our firm:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Engineering; or equivalent experience preferred.
- 8 to 15+ years of relevant professional experience
- Must have advanced working knowledge in Revit
- Experience with Revit/CAD file integration into a project
- Experience with BIM Tasks, family editing, expanded modeling skills, understanding of BIM Workflows and project setup
- Ability to adhere to project execution plans and workflow criteria.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Compensation: The salary range for this role is $120,000 - $154,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
