ROLE OVERVIEW
We are hiring a Director, Billing Solutions to provide strategic and operational leadership of the patient-facing Billing Solutions contact center, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely resolution of patient billing issues by leading staff, optimizing workflows, implementing process improvements, and leveraging technology to enhance patient interactions and satisfaction.
Compensation: $132,087 - $150,000/annually, with additional annual bonus potential
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
• Lead and develop staff and management team - Provide coaching, performance management, training, and career development for internal employees and BPO staff, including oversight of the Manager of the Billing Solutions Center.
• Oversee daily contact center operations at a high level - Ensure efficient resolution of patient billing inquiries through delegation to the Manager and BPO, monitoring workflow, staffing levels, and operational metrics.
• Drive process improvement initiatives - Identify workflow inefficiencies, implement best practices, and standardize procedures to enhance efficiency and patient experience.
• Manage vendor/BPO relationships - Oversee BPO vendor team, ensure compliance with SLAs, optimize staffing relative to call volume, and coordinate training and performance quality.
• Monitor and report operational metrics - Track KPIs, quality assurance outcomes, and patient satisfaction metrics; adjust operations based on trends.
• Support strategic planning and execution - Translate department goals into actionable initiatives and contribute insights to senior leadership to drive revenue cycle strategy.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and handle escalated patient issues - Maintain HIPAA, PCI, and organizational compliance; resolve complex billing concerns in collaboration with internal teams and vendors.
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations, including billing, collections, patient account management, and contact center operations.
• Experience in healthcare or behavioral health settings, familiar with HIPAA, PCI, and insurance processes.
• Experience managing teams in a contact center or operational environment, including performance management, coaching, and staff development.
• Experience leading multi-functional teams, implementing process improvements, and contributing to operational or strategic initiatives.
• Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States
