Position SummaryThe Billing Compliance Supervisor provides department leadership ensuring the production of accurate matter rate and discount setup, timekeeper proposals, new timekeeper rate setup, rate updates, and working timekeeper lists while maintaining an acceptable work flow to meet monthly billing goals and deadlines. This role strives to ensure the Compliance Team has appropriate procedures, policies, and tools to perform their assigned responsibilities. The position fosters team building, collaboration and cooperation among all Billing Compliance personnel as well as personnel across departments. The Compliance Supervisor plans and leads office hours, staff meetings and manages all aspects of training, coaching and team development, through oversight and direct involvement with performance standards.

Essential Functions- Oversees all compliance activity to ensure tasks are completed accurately and timely.
- Includes hands-on processing, when necessary.
- The Compliance Supervisor must be able to answer questions and provide solutions to timekeeper, discount and rate issues.
- Delegates work accordingly based on volume, complexity and priority.
- Provide input on compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Provide input on departmental processes, along with support training on procedures and technology for Compliance Team.
- Coaches and mentors Compliance team. Maintains an open dialogue to improve morale and engender team spirit. Ensures the core values of the firm are reflected in the compliance staff. Promotes an atmosphere of positive behavior by leading and participating in positive communication that improves working environment.
- Provide input on training and the ARR process each year within the firm. This includes ensuring attorneys, PA's and staff are using the tool properly, deadlines are met and rate changes are processed timely and accurately.
- Support Manager on recruiting new Compliance Specialists, as needed.
- Lead team to provide consistent delivery of high quality customer service to our clients, co-workers, billing attorneys and fellow employees.
- Provide insight on mid-year and annual evaluations
Requirements- Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting or any related field and/or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of experience in a management/supervisory capacity.
- Experience in BillBlast and client vendor websites
- Previous law firm experience preferred.
- Excellent planning, organization, oral and verbal skills, including an ability to present and persuade others based on analysis of issues.
- High level of computer skills. Experience in Aderant (Billing System Software), Excel, Word, and Outlook are required.
- Strong interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, practice assistants and management.

Wage TransparencyThe pay range for this remote position varies by location. Pursuant to the applicable state and local regulations the pay range for each location is listed below. Actual compensation is contingent on relevant experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. This role is also eligible for performance-based bonuses and the benefits described below. The application deadline for this position is December 31, 2026.
