The Opportunity:The Sales Representative manages a large territory of customer accounts, serving as the primary point of contact post-sale, managing complex negotiations and driving customer satisfaction, retention, and business growth. Engages with clients through a mix of face-to-face meetings and digital channels (e.g., phone, email, video conferencing) to close sales, provide ongoing support, and ensure a high-quality customer experience. Responds to inquiries and offers consultative guidance on appropriate products and services. Executes sales strategies, generates performance reports, and identifies opportunities to increase sales volume while maintaining service excellence. Applies commercial insight and relationship management skills to support both tactical execution and strategic territory development. Mentors less experienced sales representatives and contributes to regional sales strategy.
What we’re looking for:
Education: Bachelor’s degree within sciences or equivalent, or applicable experience required.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience working in a complex, dynamic sales environment, where multiple people are involved in the purchasing decision and there is a solution-based approach.
Business-to-business sales experience preferred, especially distribution experience, scientific background and/or having work in a laboratory or research environment.
Bilingual in French preferred

Willingness to travel to customer locations minimum 3 days a week.
Canadian Sales associates are required to travel to the United States for annual sales conferences and occasional training sessions.

Prospect and establish new customers by managing a sales pipeline and developing and delivering proposals to customers by illustrating Avantor's value proposition.
Expand Avantor's role with existing customers by developing retention strategies illustrating Avantor's value proposition in conjunction with evolving customer requirements.
Sell consultatively, detailing products, determine customer needs and requirements, and make recommendations to both prospects and customers of the various solutions Avantor can offer their business.
Build and sustain relationships with customers and ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Leverage available resources to effectively implement company marketing plan, strategies and sales processes.
Work in conjunction with sales management team, providing proposals and implementing sales strategies to achieve sales growth.
Work directly with local manufacturer representatives to develop and continually improve product knowledge, arrive at most favored pricing, and improve account profitability.

Pay Transparency
The expected pre-tax pay for this position is
$61,500.00 - $101,430.00
this reflects base salary.
This position is subject to incentive compensation, where the expected pre-tax Target Cash Opportunity (“TCO”) for this position is based on the achieved sales and in the amount/range of,
$87,900.00 - $144,900.00
Actual Pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and eligible geographic location.
TCO is defined as Base + Target Sales Incentive (Sales Incentive eligible role only).
