Amentum is seeking engineering professionals with education and/or experience to support Big Data analysis and modeling in support of Naval projects in Dahlgren, Virginia. This position is on-site in Dahlgren, VA, where Amentum has provided support to the customer for over 60 years.

You will be part of our growing systems and software engineering team and contribute your diverse skills across multiple software contracts in support of our Software Center of Excellence. Successful candidates must possess excellent communication skills and be able to interact directly with customers and engineering personnel.

Big Data Model/Analyst Responsibilities Include:

• Perform Big Data analysis and modeling with some coding aptitude.
• Support Naval projects/programs by conducting Big Data modeling within the Submarine Launched Ballistic Missile (SLBM) weapon system.
• Primarily support a Senior Amentum developer in developing using Agile development principles.
• Perform analysis and problem-solving techniques in support of professional scientific and engineering work.
• Work independently and collaboratively within established teams and across organizations to meet established goals within schedule-driven timelines.
• Demonstrate familiarity with Agile Development.
• Communicate effectively with customers, engineering personnel, and team members.

Minimum Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, physics, mathematics, engineering, or another applicable technical field, or equivalent experience in lieu of the education requirement.
• Must have an active Secret U.S. Government clearance. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Candidate must maintain a valid REAL ID driver's license, required for access to the customer site, and have access to reliable transportation, as this position requires occasional travel between local work sites during the week.

Compensation Details:
US: $80,000-$130,000
