Job PurposeThe Business Intelligence Analyst supports enterprise reporting and analytics with a strong focus on supply chain, operations, and quality performance. This role partners closely with business stakeholders to design, build, and maintain Power BI reports, datasets, and data models that deliver actionable insights for decision-making across manufacturing and operational environments. The analyst supports BI platforms, resolves data and reporting issues, and responds to both recurring and ad-hoc analytical needs.
Education / TrainingBachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Key Job Elements• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards for supply chain, manufacturing operations, quality, and management reporting.
• Create, publish, and maintain Power BI datasets, including data models, measures, relationships, and metadata to ensure accuracy, performance, and usability.
• Utilize Power Query for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from financial, operational, quality, and HR-related systems.
• Develop and optimize SQL-based queries to support • Power BI reporting, data analysis, and performance optimization.
• Perform data analysis across multiple in-house systems, with emphasis on operational efficiency, supply chain performance, and quality metrics.
• Partner with business users to gather, document, and translate reporting requirements into effective Power BI solutions; provide guidance on best practices and data interpretation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data, reporting, and Power BI application issues, including refresh failures, performance issues, and data integrity concerns.
• Diagnose, document, and resolve BI software and reporting system issues identified by the business; escalate production-critical issues as appropriate.
• Support and prioritize ad-hoc data analysis requests; determine appropriate solutions while managing workload effectively.
• Assist with administration and maintenance of servers and workstations that support BI and reporting tools.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting efficiency, and insight delivery; recommend solutions and process improvements.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and ExperienceHands-on experience with Power BI, including:
• Report and dashboard development
• Dataset creation and maintenance
• Data modeling and relationships
• DAX measures and calculations
• Power Query (M) for data transformation
• Workspace management, data refreshes, gateways, and security
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
• Experience analyzing and reporting on supply chain, manufacturing data strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to work with business stakeholders to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and deliver reliable reporting solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while collaborating effectively across technical and business teams.
• Strong communication skills
Travel for this position is very limited and may include occasional visits to manufacturing facilities.
