As an experienced BI Platforms Engineer you will have the ability to share new ideas and collaborate on projects as a consultant without the extensive demands of travel. Work you'll do/Responsibilities

As a Senior Consultant at Deloitte, you will work within an engagement team and be responsible for supporting the overall project goals and objectives. In this role, you will interact with stakeholders and cross-functional teams. It is expected that you will be able to perform independent tasks as well as provide technical guidance to team members, as needed.

• Tableau Governance: Act as the primary Lead for Tableau Administration, managing site topology, change management, workbook performance optimization, and security/permissions at scale.
• Metric Insights Management: Lead the end-to-end administration of Metric Insights across on-premises and GKE environments-managing configuration, upgrades, and Tableau integrations while leveraging shell/Python scripting and APIs to automate health checks, enforce data governance, and ensure the accuracy of enterprise-wide KPIs and alerts.
• Automation & DevOps: Utilize shell scripting (Bash/Zsh) and Python to automate routine administrative tasks, platform backups, and server monitoring.
• Capacity Planning: Monitor system usage trends and resource consumption to proactively scale BI infrastructure to meet the demands of peak retail seasons (e.g., Back-to-School, Black Friday).
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with Data Engineering and DataOps teams to ensure seamless connectivity between GCP data sources (BigQuery) and the BI front-end.
• Support & Training: Serve as the Tier 2 escalation point for platform-related issues and provide technical guidance to "Super Users" across the organization.
• Engage directly with business stakeholders and technology leadership to align delivery priorities and effort estimates

Qualifications

Required

• 6+ years in BI Infrastructure or Systems Administration, with a track record of leading platform migrations or major version upgrades
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
• Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

• Can operate independently or with minimum supervision
• Excellent Written and Communication Skills
• Ability to deliver technical demonstrations
