About the role

The BI Developer will be responsible for transforming data into actionable insights, creating compelling visualizations, and supporting decision-making processes across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data visualization and business intelligence, leveraging tools and technologies from MSFT, AWS, or open-source platforms.

Your day to day
  • Design, develop, deploy, and maintain BI reporting suites, including dataflow, semantic models, frontend reports, dashboards, and BI solutions.
  • Develop, produce, and deliver one-off management information to provide insights and aid decision-making.
  • Design and create data visualizations using appropriate techniques and tools, adhering to UI/UX procedures.
  • Source, prepare, and integrate data for analysis from diverse business and operational processes.
  • Create and deliver standard and custom reports in accordance with collaborator's needs.
  • Operationalize and automate the production of data visuals for efficient and timely delivery.
  • Engage with collaborators to prototype and refine visualizations and reports.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity to provide confidence in decision-making.
  • Contribute to the exploration and experimentation of new data visualization approaches.
  • Collaborate with Data Business Analysts to understand business requirements and translate them into visualizations.
  • Advise on the proper use of data visualization tools and techniques for different purposes and contexts.


What we are looking for
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as MSFT Power BI, Amazon QuickSight, or open-source frameworks like D3.js.
  • Solid understanding of business intelligence concepts and tools, including SQL, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
  • Experience with data warehousing solutions based on Snowflake, AWS Redshift, or open-source databases like PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with data modeling and data integration techniques to ensure data quality.
  • Ability to design and implement dashboards and reports that meet business requirements.
  • Knowledge of DAX queries and SQL-like programming.
  • Knowledge of data modelling and data integration techniques.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively present findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • B.Sc. degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as BI developer or similar role.
  • Certification in relevant technologies such as Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty, or equivalent.
  • Experience with advanced data visualization techniques and tools.
  • Knowledge of DAX, Python and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with machine learning and predictive analytics.
