About the Role

Lead Prescriber (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner) to provide high-quality psychiatric care while serving as a clinical leader within our integrated behavioral health program.

This role combines direct patient care, team leadership, and program oversight, including a key focus on expanding and maintaining excellence in Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment andMedication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) services.

What You'll Do

Clinical Care
  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment planning
  • Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
  • Monitor patient progress, side effects, and treatment outcomes
  • Provide patient education and brief therapeutic interventions
  • Coordinate care with primary care and community providers

Leadership & Program Oversight
  • Serve as a clinical leader and psychopharmacology expert
  • Lead integration of behavioral health within behavioral health care teams
  • Provide clinical and operational oversight of the SUD program, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, including MAT requirements and confidentiality standards (42 CFR Part 2)
  • Develop and implement clinical protocols and workflows
  • Drive quality improvement and performance initiatives
  • Support clinical staff through mentorship, training, and consultation

Collaboration & Strategy
  • Partner with leadership on program development and growth
  • Participate in peer review, case consultation, and team meetings
  • Support access, patient flow, and care coordination efforts

What We're Looking For
  • Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
  • Active and unrestricted West Virginia APRN license (or eligible)
  • WV DEA license and prescriptive authority (or ability to obtain)
  • 3+ years of behavioral health experience
  • Experience with SUD/MAT programs strongly preferred
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience a plus
  • All license / certifications must be obtained prior to start date
