Full Job Description
PeaceHealth is seeking a BH Associate for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position. The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $31.60 - $47.40. This is a billable clinician role.

The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.

Job Summary

Provides skills training, case management, and activity group therapy to behavioral health consumers. Works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal clinical outcomes. Provide services to consumers under the direct supervision of a Qualified Mental Health Professional.

Details of the position:

  • Provides skills training, case management, and group activity therapy based on consumer self-identified goals. Operates under the direct clinical oversight of a master's level clinician.
  • Participates in treatment team meetings and clinical case review as an active member of the interdisciplinary team.
  • Assists with access to housing resources, benefits, transportation, and other basic consumer services.
  • Assists consumers in developing activities of daily living in order to maintain independence and recovery, such as cooking, shopping, daily schedule, and maintenance of healthy habits.
  • Provides services in community and home setting in addition to clinic-based interventions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree Required: Human Services or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience that gives the caregiver the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job


  • Minimum of 1 year Required: experience working in the Human Services field and
  • Preferred: Direct care experience working with patients diagnosed with mental health conditions


  • Current Oregon Driver's License required.
  • Ability to be certified as a Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) required.
  • Experience providing substance use treatment preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required at date of hire.

Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to promote positive interpersonal relationships and patient/family centered work environment (Preferred)
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office applications and documenting in electronic medical records (Preferred)
  • Strong engagement skills and flexibility (Preferred)


Working Conditions

Lifting

  • Ability to move around area with occasional sitting.
  • Bend/ twist/ reach/ push/ pull occasionally.
  • Lift/Carry: Occasionally up to 5 lbs.

Environmental Conditions

  • Exposure to biohazard, body fluids and airborne particles.
  • Time spent on site in medical/hospital setting or in office environment.

Mental/Visual

  • Vision and hearing required within normal limits (glasses, contacts, hearing aids permitted).
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
