RVO Health is looking for a Benefits Manager to own our employee benefits, total rewards, perks, and retirement programs. You'll shape how these programs are structured, communicated, and administered, making sure our offerings help us attract and keep great people across every location we operate in.
Where You'll Be

Location: Charlotte Metro Area (Fort Mill, SC) | Hybrid

We believe great collaboration happens when we're together, solving problems, learning from each other, and connecting as a team. That's why we're in our offices Tuesday through Thursday each week. You are welcome to work remotely Mondays and Fridays if you wish.

What You'll Do
  • Manage the company's health, welfare, and retirement benefit programs, keeping them compliant and cost-competitive.
  • Own annual open enrollment end to end: communications, rate analysis, vendor coordination, and making sure every resource involved knows their part.
  • Build clear, engaging communication around benefits and total rewards so employees actually understand and use what's available to them.
  • Track key metrics across benefits and total rewards, and use them to inform program decisions.
  • Benchmark our programs against the market through surveys and industry research, and bring back recommendations to stay competitive.
  • Maintain the knowledge base for total rewards, policies, and procedures so the info stays current and easy to find.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners on confidential or escalated benefits issues, helping resolve them clearly and reduce legal exposure.
  • Stay ahead of federal, state, and local regulations affecting our plans (ACA, COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, and others), and recommend policy updates as laws change.
  • Oversee required filings and testing, including Forms 1094-C, 1095-C, and 5500, along with annual benefits and 401(k) testing.
  • Manage distribution of required notices and disclosures, like summary plan descriptions and summaries of material modifications.
  • Lead benefits education sessions, open enrollment meetings, and onboarding presentations.
  • Review vendor invoices for accuracy and make sure payments go out on time.
  • Support the HR team with FMLA, personal leave, and military leave administration.
  • Take on special projects as they come up.
What We're Looking For

Required:
  • 5+ years of benefits administration experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of self-insured and fully insured health, welfare, ancillary, and retirement plans, along with the regulations that govern them.
  • Solid grasp of HIPAA, FMLA, and ERISA, including their reporting requirements.
  • A track record of supporting diverse teams in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Strong communicator, comfortable explaining complex benefits topics to individuals and large groups alike.
  • Detail-oriented with high standards for accuracy.
  • Comfortable balancing long-term program work with day-to-day execution, and can reprioritize quickly when things shift.

Preferred:
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar HRIS platforms.
  • Experience administering benefits for an international workforce.

Pursuant to various state Fair Pay Acts, below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company. The following benefits are provided by RVO Health, subject to eligibility requirements.
  • Starting Salary: $87,800 - $105,000*
    *Note actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications and experience
