Full Job Description
Reporting directly to the Director of Global Benefits, you will own the benefit delivery for our largest employee population, supporting roughly 2,300 employees in the US and Canadian entities. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role that balances deep empathy with absolute compliance. You will serve as the premier subject matter expert for complex leave administration, accommodations, and competitive cross-border plan management.

The Benefits Manager, Americas administers and maintains the company's health, welfare, and retirement benefits programs across the Americas region, including group medical/dental/vision, life insurance, disability, retirement savings, and time-off policies. This role oversees the day-to-day operations of regional brokers and third-party administrators (TPAs), ensures strict compliance with local labor and benefit laws, and manages complex leave of absence and interactive ADA accommodation processes.

Why This Role Matters
  • Scale and Scope: You will manage a comprehensive benefits portfolio across three countries, ensuring our "Work Where You Work Best" philosophy is backed by competitive, localized health, retirement, and wellness programs.
  • Complex Leave & Accommodation Ownership: You will be the champion for employees when they need it most. You will modernise and own our end-to-end U.S. leave administration (FMLA, Short-Term/Long-Term Disability, Paid Family Leave) and lead our interactive ADA/Accommodations process with care and legal rigor.

What You'll Do
  • Leave of Absence & ADA Management: Serve as the internal lead for all Americas leave programs. Manage the end-to-end interactive process for ADA/accommodations, partnering closely with Legal, People Business Partners, and People Services Team to ensure compliant, compassionate outcomes
  • U.S. Benefits Operations:Oversee the annual open enrollment process, wellness initiatives, ACA reporting, non-discrimination testing, and 401(k) plan administration for ~2,000 domestic employees.
  • International Benefit Oversight: Partner with regional brokers to manage and optimize supplemental and statutory benefits in Canada staying ahead of local legislative shifts
  • Vendor & Broker Management:Hold carriers and TPAs accountable to rigid SLAs. Act as the primary escalation point for complex claims or employee issues
  • Data & Systems Integrity: Partner with the People Systems team to ensure Workiva's HCM (Workday) runs flawless integrations with benefits vendors and payroll
  • Leveraging AI: Champion the adoption of AI-driven tools to enhance operational agility. This includes identifying opportunities to automate repetitive data collection and validation tasks, streamlining workflows for leave administration, and utilizing predictive insights to improve benefit compliance. By integrating these technologies, the role will focus on shifting resources from manual, routine processes to high-impact strategic initiatives, ensuring that both compliance and employee experience are elevated through data-backed efficiency

Scope and Impact
  • Problem Solving:Works on highly ambiguous problems where analysis of benefit data requires an evaluation of intangible factors. Identifies alternative procedures to establish the best path forward for plan design and compliance
  • Discretion: Consistently makes decisions that impact the short- and long-term goals of the regional benefits function. Exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria
  • Collaboration:Collaborates across the broader Total Rewards and People & Culture organizations, adapting communication style to handle sensitive employee matters with high cultural awareness and global nuance

What You'll Need

Minimum Qualifications
  • 6+ years of progressive HR/Benefits experience, with a heavy emphasis on U.S. benefit operations and multi-country Americas coverage (LATAM/Canada experience highly preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical Expertise: Deep, working knowledge of FMLA, ADA interactive processes, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and Affordable Care Act (ACA) compliance
  • Systems: Strong proficiency in Workday Benefits Administration and advanced Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis

Travel Requirements & Working Conditions
  • Less than 10% travel for customer and internal collaboration
  • Reliable internet access for remote work as needed

How You'll Be Rewarded
• Salary range in the US: $106,000.00 - $172,000.00
• A discretionary bonus typically paid annually
• Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire
• 401(k) match and comprehensive employee benefits package
