Behavioral Management Program Director (PATCH Program)Position Summary The Behavioral Management Program Director is responsible for the leadership, development, implementation, and oversight of the PATCH Behavioral Management Program. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, person-centered behavioral health services that reduce challenging behaviors, promote dignity, and improve quality of life for individuals served.
The Director oversees clinical programming, staff training, regulatory compliance, and continuous quality improvement initiatives while fostering a culture of safety, trauma-informed care, and ethical practice.
Program Leadership & Oversight - Direct and manage the PATCH Behavioral Management Program to include but not limited to oversight and direction and scheduling and planning of therapeutic programs.
- Develop specific lesson plans for specialty/therapeutic groups and maintain a library of lesson plans and Resource material.
- Offer, schedule and supervise outings
- Attend shift change reports and disseminate information as appropriate
- Develop, implement, and evaluate behavioral intervention strategies aligned with best practices.
- Ensure consistent application of person-centered, least-restrictive, and trauma-informed approaches.
- Monitor program outcomes and implement improvements based on performance data.
- Provide/document behavioral counseling and provide 1:1 to clients as needed
- Monitor documentation to ensure the facility is meeting the medical, psychosocial and mental health needs of the clients.
- Provide assistance in crisis situations as a certified MAB and CPI employee
Clinical Supervision - Provide supervision and guidance to behavior analysts, clinicians, and interdisciplinary staff.
- Review and approve behavior and medical treatment plans and interventions with the support of the clinical staff.
- Ensure effectiveness of behavioral interventions.
Regulatory Compliance - Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations
- Maintain adherence to PATCH methodology
- Lead audits, surveys, and corrective action planning.
Training & Staff Development - Develop and deliver PATCH training programs for staff at all levels.
- Promote competency in de-escalation techniques, behavioral supports, and crisis intervention.
- Mentor clinical and direct care staff in behavior management best practices.
Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement - Establish metrics to monitor behavioral outcomes, medical stability and staff performance.
- Analyze data trends and implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Lead incident review processes and ensure appropriate follow-up.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration - Collaborate with medical, nursing, therapy, and administrative teams to integrate behavioral health services.
- Participate in care planning meetings and organizational committees.
- Serve as subject matter expert on behavioral health practices.
Family & Stakeholder Engagement - Work with families, caregivers, and external stakeholders to support behavioral plans.
- Provide education and consultation to families and community partners.
Risk Management & Safety - Oversee crisis management protocols and ensure staff readiness.
- Reduce use of restrictive interventions through proactive strategies.
- Ensure safe environments for clients and staff.
Education/Experience - Bachelor's degree required in Psychology, Behavior Analysis, Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in behavioral health or developmental services.
- At least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Demonstrated experience implementing behavioral management programs and reducing restrictive interventions.
Licensure/Certification (as applicable) - MAB and CPI certified, preferred

Physical Requirements - Ability to participate in training related to crisis intervention (including physical components if applicable).
- Ability to respond to behavioral emergencies.
- May be subjected to odors, dust, disinfectants, tobacco smoking or air contaminants
- May be exposed to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including TB and the AIDS and Hepatitis B viruses
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds or more
