Position SummaryThe Behavior Support Specialist assists students whose emotional/social needs interfere with their ability to obtain maximum benefit from the educational program. Acts as liaison between parents/guardians, school, and public and private agencies responsible for student care and services. This position is of limited duration (approximately 5 years) and state funded.
Minimum Qualifications- Education: Full approval as school social worker through the Michigan Department of Education, Approval as a School Counselor, or Board-Certified Behavior Analysist (BCBA). Preferred considerations will be given to BCBAs.
- Experience: None required; successful experience supporting children's social emotional development preferred.
Compensation & BenefitsPay Range: $70,367 - $92,560 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications
Work Schedule: 186 days / 7.0 hours daily
Paid Time Off:- Sick Days - 10
- Personal Business Days - 3
