Job DescriptionWhat You Will Do:
- Provide direct behavior support interventions for K-2 students in general education settings.
- Provide consultation to school staff and administrators on de-escalation and behavior prevention best practices.
- Support behavior regulation and prevention plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation to support Medicaid billing for program sustainability.
- Collaborate with Special education, ancillary, and diagnostic staff as needed for the benefit of students and continuity of care provided.
- Collaborate with family support consultants and other mental health providers in the county.
- Train and coach school staff on foundational Tier 1 and Tier 2 practices, including Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), Restorative Practices and Justice, and other similar models.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Under the general supervision of the Supervisor of Education Systems
Need to Have:
- Master's Degree Required
- Valid Michigan Social Work license with full approval as a school social worker or eligible for approval;
- OR Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification
- Minimum 3 years experience of in educational setting or clinical behavioral setting preferred
