Field Effect is hiring an experienced and results-driven
BDR Manager to join our Sales team. This is a high-impact role for a proven sales leader who has consistently delivered strong pipeline results and knows how to build, coach, and scale high-performing BDR teams.
We're looking for a hands-on leader who brings experience from a well-established SaaS or cybersecurity sales organization and is excited to apply that experience to help mature and strengthen our BDR function.
This role requires a regular in-office presence of at least
3 days per week to support and develop our Ottawa-based team.
What You'll Do:- Lead, coach, and develop a team of BDRs, providing day-to-day guidance on prospecting, messaging, objection handling, and qualification
- Own individual SAL and pipeline targets, contributing directly alongside the team
- Establish clear performance expectations focused on SAL generation, pipeline contribution, and conversion metrics
- Work alongside BDRs to model strong outbound prospecting across phone, email, and LinkedIn
- Strengthen our outbound strategies, cadences, and targeting approaches to improve consistency and results
- Monitor team performance, analyze activity and conversion data, and implement focused coaching plans
- Partner with Sales and Marketing to align on ICP, campaigns, and lead quality standards
- Improve onboarding, training, and ongoing development to accelerate ramp and performance
- Build a high-performance, accountable team environment
- Stay informed on cybersecurity market trends, competitive positioning, and buyer challenges
What We're Looking For:- 5+ years of experience in sales or business development, with a demonstrated track record of exceeding targets
- 2+ years of experience leading BDR/SDR teams (ideally teams of 4-7 reps)
- Experience in a SaaS or cybersecurity sales environment, with exposure to structured sales development practices
- Personal track record of generating high-quality SALs and consistently exceeding pipeline targets
- Strong coaching and leadership skills with the ability to develop early-career sales professionals
- Hands-on experience with outbound prospecting, account-based strategies, and multi-channel engagement
- Data-driven, with the ability to use activity and conversion metrics to improve performance
- Proficiency with CRM systems and sales engagement tools
- Ability to work from our Ottawa office at least 3 days per week

Compensation: $100,000-120,000 + sales commissions
