Area Director means something different everywhere. Sometimes it's keeping centers afloat. Sometimes it's approving budgets and attending meetings. Here, it's about building leaders, strengthening culture across multiple centers, and helping teams do the best work of their careers. So before we get into responsibilities, let's show you what this role actually looks like.
What you'll own. This isn't about overseeing one clinic-it's about building consistency across an entire region. You'll partner with Clinical Directors to develop leaders, strengthen culture, improve performance, and ensure every center delivers the same exceptional experience for families and clinicians alike. You'll balance clinical excellence with operational health, helping centers grow while maintaining the standards that define Gracent. We hire leaders, then trust them to lead.
The support behind you.Leading multiple centers takes strong partnerships. You'll work alongside dedicated Recruiting, HR, Marketing, Billing, Scheduling, Credentialing, and Finance teams so you're not carrying operational responsibilities alone. Instead of chasing vacancies or solving billing issues, you'll spend your time coaching leaders, improving performance, and preparing centers for growth. You'll also partner closely with our executive leadership team, including our VP of Clinical Quality & Training, Regional leadership, and Operations team to solve complex challenges and shape the future of our Texas region.
The work is worth leading.Growth means nothing if quality doesn't grow with it. Our Care Calculator, outcome measurement tools, and Organizational Behavior Management (OBM) systems give leaders visibility into what's happening across every center-not months later, but in real time. As an Area Director, you'll use those insights to identify trends, develop Clinical Directors, remove barriers, and build systems that allow multiple centers to succeed together.

How it actually works - the full pictureYou develop leaders. You'll look across multiple locations to identify patterns, share best practices, and solve problems before they spread. Whether it's improving retention, strengthening culture, increasing referrals, or developing future leaders, your perspective extends beyond any one center.
You think beyond one building. We measure outcomes and make them visible. Our STEP Score, family Report Cards, and OBM dashboards give you a clear, shared view of how care is performing across your region. So you lead with data, coach Clinical Directors with specifics, and help ensure every center is delivering exceptional outcomes.
You balance people and performance.Strong centers don't happen by accident. You'll use operational dashboards, financial metrics, clinical outcomes, and leadership scorecards to guide decisions while never losing sight of the families and clinicians behind the numbers.
You help build what's next.As Gracent continues to grow, you'll play an active role in opening new centers, supporting acquisitions, developing leaders, and building the infrastructure that allows our organization to scale without compromising quality.
