The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at The University of Alabama (UA) seeks an outstanding individual with expertise in chemistry or biochemistry to fill a prestigious Endowed Chair position. Preferred candidates will be national or international leaders in their fields, with substantial and sustained external funding. Successful candidates will be expected to provide leadership within the department and contribute to UA's broader mission.

A PhD in chemistry, biochemistry, or an aligned discipline and the ability to teach chemistry or biochemistry courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels are required. The specific research area is open, provided it strongly aligns with national critical and emerging technology priorities.
