Overview

The CM/ILS Program is seeking a qualified Logistician who brings experience in defense life-cycle logistics and configuration management for complex electronic and C4ISR systems. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), product support strategy development, and sustainment planning, with a proven ability to analyze technical data, contracts, and system specifications to ensure effective and compliant logistics solutions.

This individual will support end-to-end life cycle management activities, including provisioning, maintenance planning, engineering change management, and configuration control, while collaborating across Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and program stakeholders. The candidate should demonstrate strong familiarity with Navy logistics processes and systems and the ability to develop, manage, and execute logistics plans, training materials, and sustainment documentation to ensure operational readiness and mission success.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the establishment of CDMD-OA/MBPS data records for various classes of Naval ships.
  • Review of Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs)
  • Perform data validation, analysis, and conversion for submittal to CDMD-OA/MBPS.
  • Ensure configuration/equipment and logistics records in the CDMD-OA/MBPS are accurate and current, including technical manuals, drawings, Maintenance Index Pages (MIPs), and Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRCs).
  • Analyze equipment and Hierarchical Structure Codes (HSCs) to ensure proper designation.
  • Update the CDMD-OA/MBPS database with equipment serial number updates.
  • Participate in Integrated Logistics Support Management Team Meetings (ILSMT's) and other internal and Government-led meetings.
  • Work with Planning Yards, providing support in maintaining various ship classes throughout the US Navy
  • Perform CDMD-OA/MBPS data validation and end-user access support.
  • Work with the team to develop a more efficient environment for the interchange of information and data for the program.
  • Provide support, administration, and configuration management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree
  • Ten (10) years with a Master's or 14 years with a Bachelor's degree of experience in defense life-cycle (acquisition) logistics support of electronic systems, to include: logistics management, principles, practices, and processes.
  • Experience shall include at least six (6) years of support with C4ISR or similar systems, to include: Analyzing Contracts, Analyzing System Design Specifications, Analyzing Engineering/Systems Management Data, Developing Logistics Plans and Procedures, and Developing Logistics Management Plans and Guidelines. Experience supervising Logistics Specialists. Experience may be achieved simultaneously.
  • Individual shall have Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certification in Lifecycle [Acquisition] Logistics Advanced/Level 3; demonstrate/specify equivalent life cycle logistics training; or possess an additional three (3) years (i.e., total 13 years minimum experience with Master's or 17 years with Bachelor's degree) working in direct support of defense life-cycle logistics.
  • Proficient at utilizing operational inventory management software tools to verify existing inventory levels and generate accurate and automated reports.
  • They will also automate logistics reporting as necessary using these software suites to ensure efficient and real-time inventory monitoring.
  • Prior experience in Configuration Management and Systems Analysis. Windchill experience a huge plus.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving capability to learn and apply new technologies
  • Prior database experience, such as Microsoft Power Apps, is strongly desired
  • Proficiency using Microsoft 365 programs such as Excel, Power Query, Power BI, Outlook, Word, etc., is strongly desired
  • Military Logistics or Supply experience is strongly desired.
  • Familiarity, or prior experience, with how the Navy plans configuration, logistics data, technical documentation, and how it is tracked and maintained will shorten the learning curve and is essential in being successful in this position.
  • Prior Navy experience, while not required, is desired.
  • Active Secret Clearance walking through the door
