The Opportunity

As a Senior Manager in our Canadian Banking Technology Consulting team within the Platforms group, you will play a critical leadership role in helping top financial institutions transform their businesses through technology, innovation, and the power of our people.
You will act as a trusted advisor to senior client executives, driving large-scale transformation initiatives across modernization, data and cloud migration, and core banking transformation. You will lead complex engagements, shape strategic direction, and deliver long-term value to clients while contributing to the growth of our practice.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end client engagements, overseeing multiple large and complex programs simultaneously, ensuring quality delivery, risk management, and financial performance
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior client stakeholders, including Directors, VPs, and C-suite executives, guiding decision-making and transformation roadmaps
  • Drive business development, including identifying opportunities, shaping proposals, participating in pursuits, and contributing to go-to-market strategies
  • Build and lead high-performing teams, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance management to Managers, Senior Consultants, and Consultants
  • Define and deliver transformation strategies across capital markets, including operating model design, process optimization, and technology enablement
  • Develop thought leadership and new service offerings, enhancing EY's capabilities in Banking Technology and Capital Markets
  • Ensure engagement profitability and operational excellence, managing budgets, timelines, and resource allocation

Ideally, you'll also have
  • Significant experience in front-office strategy, sales strategy, or technology and operations transformation, with a proven track record of driving measurable business outcomes
  • Demonstrated success in leading large-scale digital and data transformation programs
  • Proven ability to build and sustain senior client relationships, including direct interaction with C-suite stakeholders
  • Strong experience in developing and bringing new offerings to market, aligned with evolving client needs
  • Deep knowledge across:
    Trade lifecycle and capital markets operations
    Broker-dealer operations, clearing & settlement
    Client onboarding, treasury, collateral management
    Regulatory frameworks and governance models
  • Experience designing target operating models, strategic roadmaps, and enterprise transformation programs


What we look for

We are looking for passionate, entrepreneurial leaders with strong vision and deep expertise in capital markets and banking technology.
• A bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business with 8-10+ years of relevant experience, or an MBA with significant consulting experience
Extensive experience leading large consulting engagements within financial services
• Proven track record in business development and client relationship management
• Strong understanding of financial products (derivatives, equities, fixed income, FX, commodities)
• Experience across industries such as investment banking, broker-dealers, custody, and asset management
• Proven leadership in strategy-led transformation roles
• Willingness to travel as required
