Job Summary

The Backend Java Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality backend solutions in a collaborative environment. This role requires strong computer science fundamentals, problem-solving skills, and the ability to clarify business requirements while ensuring clean, consistent code and timely delivery. The developer will work closely with global team members across multiple time zones, contributing to scalable and reliable enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assume responsibility for projects within the system, ensuring timely delivery.
  2. Clarify business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  3. Implement clean, consistent code aligned with best practices.
  4. Collaborate in a global team across different time zones.
  5. Participate in design discussions and code reviews.
  6. Apply software design principles including MVC, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
  7. Ensure adherence to multithreading, caching, and recursion best practice s.


Required Qualifications

  1. 7-15 years of experience in Java backend development.
  2. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  3. Expertise in software design principles (MVC, data structures, algorithms, design patterns, multithreading, caching, recursion).
  4. Strong knowledge of core Java: class loading, garbage collection, Java Collections API, Reflections API, Java 8 Streams, and functional programming.
  5. Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
  6. Proficiency in BDD frameworks (JBehave, Cucumber).
  7. Experience with DMN and BPMN tooling.
  8. Strong knowledge of RESTful web services.
  9. Excellent communication skills for working with global teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL (DB2).
  2. Experience with ORM technologies (JPA/Hibernate).
  3. Knowledge of Snowflake DB.
  4. Familiarity with HTTP, XML, JSON.
  5. Experience with Unix/Linux environments.
  6. Exposure to TDD (test-driven development).
  7. Knowledge of Git source code management.
  8. Familiarity with React.js.


Certifications

  1. Relevant Java or software development certifications (preferred).
