Full Job Description
In this position you will provide full-spectrum Configuration and Data Managment Support to the US Air Force B-2 Systems acquisition programs within the Bombers Directorate, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio.

Essential Job Functions:

The applicant shall apply knowledge of the fundamentals of configuration management to establish and maintain consistency of a product's performance, functional, and physical attributes with its requirements, design, and operational information throughout its life.

The applicant shall review program-unique specifications to include system specifications, development specifications, and product specifications for both hardware and software, for proper format, content, and compliance with program requirements and 114 appropriate standards; process requests for nomenclature and requests for Computer Program Identification Numbers (CPINs); and track the requests through the appropriate government agencies for responding back to the customer.

The applicant shall support the configuration control function, to include receipt, dissemination, processing, tracking, and final disposition of Advanced Change Study Notices (ACSNs), ECPs, CCPs, Requests for Deviation/Waiver (RFD/RFW), DRs, Airworthiness Directive Notes, Service Introductions; review change proposals for thoroughness, configuration and data management impacts and compliance with Government requirements; make appropriate recommendations for Government review and disposition; assist in the preparation and conduct of Configuration Control Boards (CCB) and Business Management Boards (or their equivalent); assist in maintaining change proposal files; and assist in providing historical information.

The applicant shall provide engineering data management support for program requirements to include preparing or updating and maintaining any Engineering Data Management Plan; establishing and maintaining an Engineering Data Activity File; and providing technical support in the preparation of and conduct of Engineering Data Guidance Conferences and engineering drawings In-Process Reviews (IPRs).

The applicant shall analyze the impacts of the configuration management change process on lifecycle sustainment. The applicant shall assist in the development and management of all Contract Data Requirement List (CDRL) requirements.

The applicant shall plan/implement FCAs and PCAs and confirm the adequacy of data used to support these audits.

The applicant shall participate in Government reviews/meetings/working groups as applicable and in government and industry teams for the resolution of complex configuration management issues.

The applicant shall assist in developing the CCB charter and assist in the execution of the CCBs.

The applicant shall review/develop/update applicable program documentation for configuration/data management relevant requirements.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree plus 12 years of relevant experience is required.

Requires a Secret security clearance (adjudicated within the past 5 years) on the first day of employment.

Applicant selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Post-secondary education may be substituted for work experience requirements.

A minimum of 5 years managing programs in a DoD acquisition environment.
