Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and collaborative Cloud & IT Operations Lead to drive modernization and automation across our enterprise IT Service Management (ITSM) ecosystem. This role is responsible for advancing service delivery, improving operational efficiency, and integrating AI-enabled capabilities while overseeing Azure cloud operations and secure access governance. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in Azure platforms, process automation, Protection Level-3(PL-3) environments, STIG-based configuration, JSIG-compliant operational environments, and high-quality operational support within a dynamic, mission-focused setting.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead modernization of IT Service Management processes, transforming manual workflows into automated, scalable, AI-assisted service operations
  • Implement AI-driven capabilities across ITSM, including intelligent routing, predictive analytics, automated remediation, and service health insights
  • Architect, operationalize, and maintain Attribute-Based Access Controls (ABAC) across enterprise systems Utilize Sentris for ABAC policy authoring and enforcement,ensuring accurate application of attributes across classifications, roles, and mission environments
  • Integrate Sentris with the Security Database of Record, managing synchronization pipelines to maintain authoritative identity and attribute data across the enterprise
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical oversight to cloud and IT operations engineers
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation, runbooks, and operational standards to support continuity and audit requirements
  • Collaborate closely with cybersecurity, engineering, and mission teams to support secure enterprise operations
  • Promote automation-first operations, leveraging infrastructure-as-code (IaC), CI/CD, Power Platform, scripting, and AI-driven orchestration
  • Lead cloud operations supporting Azure infrastructure, identity services, virtual desktop environments, and mission-critical workloads

Here's What You Need
  • Extensive experience in cloud operations, enterprise ITSM, and service automation
  • Experience integrating identity systems with a Security Database of Record and maintaining attribute synchronization workflows
  • Experience managing PL-3 environments across AVDs, Office tools, Exchange, SharePoint, and enterprise file services
  • Experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise ITSM processes leveraging modern ITSM platforms to enable automation, scalable service delivery, and operational excellence
  • Experience with automation of Infrastructure (IaC-Infrastructure as Code) Experience with Azure Cloud, Windows Server, SQL Server, PowerShell scripting, and virtualization
  • Possess a DoD 8570/8140 Certification

Bonus Points If You Have
  • Hands-on experience implementing ABAC, including Sentris configuration, ABAC policy lifecycle management, attribute ingestion, and system integration
  • Experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise ITSM processes leveraging Jira Service Management to enable automation, scalable service delivery, and operational excellence
  • Demonstrated ability to manage Azure subscriptions and resources, including end-to-end lifecycle management, cost optimization, governance controls, and compliance alignment
  • Experience implementing and managing Azure Storage, including Storage Accounts, encryption configurations, lifecycle policies, and secure access patterns for mission workloads Hands-on experience deploying, configuring, and maintaining Azure Virtual Machines, including images, extensions, backup configuration, monitoring, and performance tuning
  • Strong understanding of Azure Virtual Networks, subnet design, firewall rules, routing, VPN/ExpressRoute connectivity,NSGs, and secure network architectures supporting PL-3 and mission systems
  • Familiarity with enterprise monitoring and analytics such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics,and Kusto Query Language (KQL) for operational insight and troubleshooting Certs in relevant technical areas
