Job Summary

We are seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer to support a large-scale infrastructure modernization initiative by designing, building, and automating Azure cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC). This hands-on role is responsible for developing reusable infrastructure components, standardizing cloud deployments, and driving automation to accelerate cloud adoption. The ideal candidate will have a strong software engineering background, expertise in Azure, Terraform, and Packer, and experience building scalable, maintainable cloud infrastructure through modern automation practices.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, build, and maintain Microsoft Azure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Develop reusable Terraform modules and infrastructure templates to standardize cloud deployments.
• Build, manage, and maintain machine images using Packer.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and configuration across multiple Azure environments.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Systems Engineering, and application teams to deliver scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Translate infrastructure requirements into reusable, automated cloud solutions.
• Improve infrastructure consistency, reliability, scalability, and deployment speed through automation.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and cloud platform issues across Azure environments.
• Contribute to infrastructure standards, technical documentation, and cloud engineering best practices.
• Develop automation using programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, Java, Go, or C#.
• Utilize Git and version control best practices to manage infrastructure code.
• Identify opportunities to eliminate manual processes through automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support cloud modernization and infrastructure transformation projects.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or related experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure and cloud services.
• Expert-level experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Hands-on experience building and managing machine images using Packer.
• Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code principles and cloud automation best practices.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, PowerShell, Java, Go, or C#.
• Experience developing reusable automation and infrastructure components.
• Experience with Git and version control best practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and deliver scalable cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Azure Landing Zones or enterprise Azure cloud environments.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
