North Point Technology is looking to hire a DevSecOps Engineer to support secure cloud operations for a national security mission. The qualified candidate must have an active TS/SCI security clearance with CI Polygraph and will manage application deployments, drive the change management process, and maintain CI/CD pipelines in a DoD/IC cloud environment. The ideal candidate has strong command of AWS, containerization, and security accreditation processes, and is willing to work on-site in a SCIF up to 100% of each week.
Responsibilities:
This position centers on secure software deployment and reliability engineering in a mission-critical cloud environment. Duties include managing application deployments across multiple environments - deploying code updates, troubleshooting deployment failures, and executing environment-specific configurations; owning the Change Management (CHG) process for production by preparing and submitting change requests, shepherding them through ISO, TESR, and Outage Board approval gates, and coordinating deployment windows with stakeholders; maintaining security and compliance posture through XACTA documentation, TESR approvals, and enterprise log retention (NSS) requirements; and operating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and the supporting infrastructure.
Required Skills/Experience::
- Experience in DevSecOps or Site Reliability Engineering in a cloud environment (AWS)
- Hands-on experience managing CI/CD pipelines
- Containerized deployments with Docker and ECS
- Core AWS infrastructure services (e.g., Lambda, RDS, VPC, CloudWatch, S3)
- Change management and security accreditation in a DoD/IC environment (e.g., CHG, RMF, XACTA)
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and deployment rollback procedures
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- GitLab CI pipeline configuration and management
- EKS (Kubernetes) migrations or hybrid ECS/EKS environments
- National Security Systems (NSS) requirements, including log retention and compliance standards
- MCP server deployment
- Node.js / TypeScript ecosystem (Lambda runtimes, dependency management, layer packaging)
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or Security Specialty)
Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance
