Job Title: AWS Cloud Enablement Engineer

Location: Onsite - Woodland Hills, CA

Work Mode: Onsite

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Enablement Engineer with a strong background in cloud security, infrastructure automation, and cloud platform engineering. The ideal candidate will design, secure, optimize, and support scalable cloud environments while enabling application teams through reusable cloud patterns, landing zones, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Platform Design & Engineering

  • Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure primarily on AWS (exposure to Azure/GCP is a plus).
  • Build reusable cloud components, templates, and services to enable faster onboarding of application teams.
  • Provide architectural guidance aligned with AWS Well-Architected Framework and enterprise standards.
  • Specialize in designing and operating distributed and cloud-native systems.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Automation

  • Design and deploy infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).
  • Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment of cloud resources and landing zones.
  • Ensure consistency, scalability, and repeatability across environments.
Security & Compliance

  • Implement and manage cloud security controls including IAM, security groups, firewalls, encryption, and network security.
  • Secure AWS landing zones and cloud resources in line with enterprise governance and FIS/security standards.
  • Assess production readiness of cloud services with focus on security, availability, and maintainability.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and industry best practices.
Cost Optimization & Operations

  • Monitor cloud usage and identify cost optimization opportunities (rightsizing, reserved instances, savings plans).
  • Partner with finance and procurement teams to implement cost optimization strategies.
  • Define and track operational metrics related to performance, reliability, scalability, and availability.
Migration & Modernization

  • Support cloud adoption and onboarding using standardized patterns and blueprints.
  • Lead or support migrations from on-premises or other cloud platforms to AWS.
  • Perform re-platforming and re-architecting of applications into cloud-native microservices.
Troubleshooting & Support

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure and application deployment issues.
  • Analyze logs, metrics, and alerts to identify root causes.
  • Work with cloud vendors and internal teams to drive timely problem resolution.
  • Provide ongoing cloud platform support services.
Required Skills & Experience

Must-Have

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in AWS Cloud & Cloud Security
  • Strong experience with AWS security services (IAM, VPC security, encryption, monitoring)
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Experience designing and securing AWS Landing Zones
  • Strong troubleshooting and operational support skills
Good-to-Have

  • Exposure to Azure and/or GCP
  • Experience with cloud migrations and modernization initiatives
  • Knowledge of distributed systems and microservices architecture
  • Cost optimization and FinOps experience
