As an Account Executive you will have the exciting opportunity to help drive the growth and shape the future of globally recognizable brands. Your responsibilities will include driving revenue, adoption, and market penetration in enterprise accounts. The ideal candidate will possess both a sales and technical background that enables them to drive an engagement at the CXO level as well as with software developers and IT architects. You will be the leader of a cross functional team, shaping the strategy for partners, professional services, and training/certification. You will develop and execute against a territory strategy and consistently deliver on quarterly revenue targets.
Key job responsibilities
The Account Executive is responsible for teaming with all aspects of the customer's organization. This includes C-level executives, engineering, IT/operations, partner org, and sales. Skills required to build relationships across an account include creative systems thinking, visioning, and executing via collaboration with an extended team to address all Financial Services customer's needs.
The Account Executive is responsible for selling at the most strategic (C-level) within the account and implementing a broad strategy for earning customer acceptance and service implementation.
The Account Executive works collaboratively with all appropriate AWS resources (Executives, Partner, Support, Solution Architect) to support customer interests, and will understand how to strongly advocate for the customer in harmony with what the AWS business needs.
In addition to new service adoption and new line of business development, this role includes dotted line responsibility for partnership and technical collaboration.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience reaching and exceeding sales revenue goals
- Experience engaging with and influencing C-level executives
- 5+ years of experience working with enterprise customers in a quota-carrying role
- Experience developing and executing against an account/territory plan
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience selling cloud solutions
- Experience in large complex deal negotiations with a successful track record
- Knowledge of the Financial Services industry, including regulatory landscape, digital transformation trends, and key technology challenges
- Familiarity with AWS services and the broader cloud computing ecosystem
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with senior decision-makers (CEO, CFO, CIO)
- AWS Certifications (e.g., Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect)
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments, restricted stock units (RSUs), and sales incentives. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
