Purpose of the role

To raise capital and manage the financial risk of clients, including financial advisory services, identification and origination of market opportunities, research, economic analysis.

Accountabilities
  • Identification and cultivation of relationships with potential clients, including corporations, institutions, or government entities.
  • Market research and analysis to identify industry trends, potential deal opportunities, and client needs.
  • Collaboration with internal teams to develop pitch materials, financial models, and presentations for client meetings and transactions.
  • Structuring and execution of deals, including mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and strategic advisory services.
  • Due diligence process coordination, timeline management, and liaising between various stakeholders involved in transactions.

What will you be doing?

Barclays Capital Inc. seeks AVP, US Municipal Banker - Housing Sector in New York, NY (multiple positions available):

  • Work with clients in the Housing sector to address their financial needs including raising new funds for projects as well as refinancing / restructuring existing debt for savings.
  • Develop, monitor and evaluate both debt and credit profiles for existing and prospective clients.
  • Perform financial modeling and cash flow analyses to evaluate debt-financing alternatives for a wide variety of clients from across the credit spectrum.
  • Gather, analyze, present financial data (e.g., budgets and financial reports, economic/market data, financial forecasts, pricing results, etc.) and prepare market commentary for external distribution to key clients.
  • Build relationships with new and existing Housing clients leading to business generation for the bank.
  • Drive client transaction execution process (example, bringing a new bond to market), including coordinating deal logistics, running cash flows, preparing investor and rating agency presentations, reviewing financing documents.

Minimum Salary: $125,000 per year

Maximum Salary: $175,000 per year

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
