Responsibilities

  • Provide executive leadership for home care operations across multiple sites, ensuring high-quality service and strategic alignment.

Full Job Description
The Assistant Vice President (AVP), Home Care is accountable for leading the strategy, operations, quality, compliance, and performance of Home Care services across multiple markets and sites. As a senior leader, this role partners closely with Operational, Clinical, Finance, Compliance, and People teams to ensure high-quality participant care, scalable operations, regulatory readiness, and strong team performance. The AVP, Home Care fosters collaborative relationships across WelbeHealth and with external stakeholders to advance participant outcomes, operational excellence, and an engaged team culture.

This role is different because the AVP, Home Care at WelbeHealth:
  • Leads the strategic direction and operational excellence of Home Care services across multiple markets, ensuring high-quality, participant-centered care while building scalable programs that support WelbeHealth's continued growth
  • Partners across Clinical, Operational, and Corporate leadership teams to strengthen care delivery, drive quality and regulatory excellence, optimize workforce performance, and ensure participants receive the right care in the home to support independence and aging in place

On the day-to-day, you will:
  • Provide executive leadership for the home care function across multiple sites, ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery, operational excellence, and alignment with WelbeHealth standards, as well as set strategic direction and oversee execution of short-range and long-range plans for Home Care operations, quality, staffing, participant care, and program growth
  • Lead regional and market-level Home Care leaders, including directors, managers, and other department leaders, as well as drive accountability through coaching, performance management, and leadership development
  • Oversee multi-site home care operations, including staffing models, labor optimization, scheduling effectiveness, vendor management, service capacity, and escalation management
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators, dashboards, and operating rhythms to ensure performance against quality, service, utilization, compliance, and financial goals, as well as drive proficiency in enterprise budgeting, resource planning, forecasting, logistics, and execution of strategic initiatives that improve scalability and participant experience
  • Ensure effective implementation and oversight of participant care plans in collaboration with providers, care coordinators, and interdisciplinary teams, as well as oversee care delivery and participant outcomes to ensure services meet participant needs, support aging in place, and align with the plan of care
  • Provide executive oversight of the home care quality management system, including audits, corrective action planning, continuous improvement, and readiness for internal and external reviews
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, PACE requirements, home care regulations, professional standards, and company policies and procedures, as well as oversee successful preparation for and response to regulatory audits, state surveys, and compliance reviews

Job requirements include:
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, nursing administration, business administration, or a related field required; master's degree preferred
  • Clinical licensure or equivalent healthcare leadership experience preferred, depending on scope of oversight
  • Minimum of seven (7) to ten (10) years of progressive leadership experience in health services administration, home care, home health, PACE, or related healthcare programs; multi-site leadership experience strongly preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years of people leadership experience with demonstrated success mentoring teams and driving performance across distributed operations
  • Strong operational and financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, workforce planning, productivity management, and performance improvement
  • Deep knowledge of home care operations, participant care coordination, regulatory compliance, quality management systems, and audit preparedness
  • Experience leading in a data-driven organization, leveraging reports, dashboards, and analytics to prioritize decisions and manage people and projects
  • Excellent executive leadership, organizational, collaboration, and communication skills with seniors, families, interdisciplinary teams, and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and lead effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
