The AVP, Field Operations & Development is responsible for leading the execution of field development strategy across the Assurant Dealer Services (ADS) organization. This role translates enterprise priorities into scalable field enablement programs that drive performance, consistency, and revenue growth across the field organization.
This position provides leadership and oversight to the Field Development function, including direct leadership of three Directors of Field Development and the Account Specialists. Through these leaders, the AVP is accountable for the end-to-end execution of field development activities, including onboarding, training, performance management, and operational support of field personnel (e.g., District Managers, Account Specialists).
The AVP partners closely with senior leadership to align field development initiatives with business objectives, ensure consistent execution of field processes, and drive measurable improvement in field effectiveness and revenue impact across the organization.
Field Development Strategy Execution- Operationalize field development strategy in alignment with VP leadership and enterprise priorities
- Drive consistency of field processes, tools, performance standards, and training across regions
- Identify opportunities to improve scalability, efficiency, and effectiveness of field development programs
Leadership of Field Development Function- Directly lead three Directors of Field Development and provide oversight across the Account Specialists
- Ensure alignment of priorities, execution, and performance standards across all Field Development teams
- Establish clear operating cadence, metrics, and governance to drive accountability and consistency
- Coach and develop Directors to strengthen leadership capability and elevate performance across teams
Field Enablement, Training & Execution- Oversee onboarding, training, and ongoing development of District Managers and field personnel across all regions
- Ensure consistent execution of core field development activities, including: District Manager onboarding and ride-along programs, field performance assessments and coaching, and training delivery and capability building initiatives
- Drive adoption of standardized tools, playbooks, and best practices across the field organization
Field Operations & Support Model- Provide executive oversight of the Account Specialist operating model, executed through Directors and their teams, including: onboarding, deployment, and scheduling of Account Specialists, performance tracking, reporting, and quality oversight of field assignments, coordination of administrative processes (reporting, invoicing, and operational support)
- Ensure consistency and scalability of in-store and virtual field support delivered through the Automotive Training Academy
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reporting, and overall effectiveness of field operations
Performance & Revenue Impact- Partner with Business Development and Leadership to drive revenue through field development initiatives and Account Specialist performance
- Monitor and analyze field performance metrics, including staffing, productivity, and revenue generation
- Implement targeted actions to address performance gaps and improve field outcomes
Cross-Functional Leadership- Partner with ATA, Business Development, Operations, and Finance to align development efforts with business needs
- Support enterprise initiatives requiring field enablement (e.g., product launches, process changes, capability builds)
- Serve as a key liaison between field teams and senior leadership to ensure alignment and feedback loops
Operational Excellence & Governance- Establish reporting, analytics, and performance tracking frameworks across field development and operations
- Ensure disciplined execution of onboarding, performance evaluations, and field support processes
- Lead continuous improvement of tools, frameworks, and methodologies used by the field organization
Other projects as assigned Pay Range:
$144,700.00 - $241,600.00
Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
