The System AVP, Access Command Center provides enterprise leadership for referral management, scheduling, and transfer-of-care processes across the health system. This role is accountable for monitoring performance, driving operational excellence, and ensuring the consistent execution of approved enterprise strategies, priorities, and decisions. The director identifies and escalates risks, barriers, and operational issues impacting access, continuity of care, and patient experience, serving as a key liaison to the Medical Group Council and other system leaders.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee system-wide referral management, scheduling, and transfer-of-care operations and performance.
- Develop and implement standardized workflows, policies, and best practices across all markets, practices, and service lines.
- Ensure operational alignment with enterprise goals, strategic priorities, and approved governance decisions.
- Partner with operational, clinical, and physician leaders to improve patient access and care coordination outcomes.
- Lead initiatives that improve service delivery, operational efficiency, patient experience, and care coordination outcomes.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts to support organizational priorities and strategic initiatives.
- Proactively identify operational risks, barriers, compliance concerns, and process challenges affecting referral, scheduling, and care transition functions.
- Escalate significant issues, risks, and recommended solutions to the Medical Group Council and other governance bodies as appropriate.
- Foster collaboration across departments to ensure seamless patient transitions and timely access to care.

Education- Required Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience- 5 years of Leadership Experience
- Experience managing referral management, scheduling operations, patient access, care coordination, or transfer-of-care processes.
- Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and change management skills.
