Full Job Description
Halff is seeking an accomplished Aviation Market Sector Leader to provide strategic leadership for the growth and evolution of our aviation practice across existing and emerging markets. The Aviation Market Sector Leader will have significant influence over strategy, market expansion, key hires, client development, and investment priorities while leveraging the resources of a nationally recognized, employee-owned multidisciplinary firm.

The ideal candidate is a respected aviation professional with deep industry knowledge, strong relationships, and a proven history of driving growth within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to both clients and firm leadership, positioning Halff as a preferred partner for aviation infrastructure and development programs. The ideal location would be Oklahoma City or flexible for any Halff location.

Supported by more than 75 years of infrastructure experience and a deep bench of aviation, transportation, planning, structural, environmental, survey, and program management professionals, this leader will help integrate our aviation services across the firm and expand Halff's presence throughout the industry.

What You Will Do

  • Lead and execute Halff's aviation market growth strategy to expand revenue, market presence, and client relationships.
  • Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with airports, aviation agencies, industry partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Identify, pursue, and secure strategic aviation opportunities across commercial, general aviation, and military markets.
  • Direct major pursuits, capture planning, teaming strategies, proposals, interviews, and contract negotiations.
  • Represent Halff at industry events, conferences, and client engagements to strengthen market visibility and positioning.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and executive sponsor for key aviation clients, programs, and projects.
  • Partner with operational and technical leaders to ensure successful project delivery, client satisfaction, and growth of existing accounts.
  • Advise firm leadership on market trends, growth opportunities, and strategic priorities affecting the aviation sector.
  • Mentor aviation professionals and foster collaboration across disciplines to deliver integrated client solutions.
  • Responsible for developing and executing growth strategies that drive aviation revenue, increase backlog, and expand strategic client relationships across target markets.
  • Help recruit, mentor, and develop aviation professionals while shaping the organizational structure necessary to support long-term growth nationwide.


What You Will Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Planning, Architecture, Aviation Management, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of progressive aviation experience within the AEC industry, including leadership of business development, strategic pursuits, market growth initiatives, and demonstrated success developing aviation client relationships, leading strategic pursuits, growing revenue, and expanding market presence
  • Strong network of relationships within the aviation industry, coupled with exceptional leadership, communication, and executive relationship management skills.
  • Professional licensure or certification (PE, RA, AICP, or similar), aviation infrastructure experience, and participation in industry organizations such as AAAE, ACC, ACI-NA, ASCE, or APWA preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and collaborate across technical disciplines to deliver integrated aviation solutions.
