Overview

The AV Technician II position within the IT Department is responsible for supporting the firm's video conference meetings and events. This role requires the ability to set up and maintain conferencing technology, including video codecs, cameras, microphones, and NEAT/Logi/Poly/Cisco room equipment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, will proactively identify issues, and provide comprehensive solutions. Key responsibilities include setting up and dismantling meeting spaces, testing and supporting all AV requirements within conference rooms, delivering outstanding client-facing customer support, maintaining all AV equipment in excellent condition, and instructing end users on the operation of AV equipment. This position requires a commitment to both excellence technical proficiency and service.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in the setup and breakdown of the firm's videoconference environment.
  • Engage in preflight production meetings, advising clients for the best possible meeting experience.
  • Schedule videoconference systems to ensure on time calls and support for firm meetings.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies to maintain high quality standards.
  • Adhere to all performance standards, processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide technical support for videoconference systems, including installation and break/fix work.
  • Support and troubleshoot the firm's Zoom platform, large format events, and hybrid meetings.
  • Administer and maintain Zoom rooms and MS Teams rooms.
  • Create and maintain documentation and best practices for the AV team to reference.
  • Coordinate with other IT group members as needed to provide proper meeting support.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Hands-on experience supporting and troubleshooting Cisco video rooms, Zoom Rooms, and remote AV support.
  • Experience maintaining and collaborating in a large environment (100+) of video conferencing rooms. Applicant should have the ability to understand the nuances between different room builds.
  • Proven experience supporting for Cisco equipment, Zoom Rooms, MS Teams, and Webex.
  • Preferred certifications: AVIXA CTS
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong customer service and team skills

The anticipated pay range for this role is listed below and represents our good faith and reasonable estimate of the starting salary range at the time of posting. In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance. The actual offered rate for this position will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, including qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data and consideration of internal equity.

  • Boston: $69,500 - $100,800

This position requires on-site presence as an essential function of the role. Consistent and predictable on-site presence is required for ongoing business continuity, professional development and effective collaboration with colleagues and management.
