JOB DESCRIPTION/TYPICAL TASK BREAKDOWN:

  • Work closely with Autonomy Systems integration engineers to ensure the product architecture requirements are fulfilled.
  • Work with Technical program managers and Application Architects to ensure that program requirements are being met (time, cost, quality).
  • Ensure that Base machine software changes are delivered on time for command for hauling releases. These can be NPI and CPI solutions depending on the state of the program.
  • Support Field data collection kits activities. Including design support, procurement, shipping to site.
  • Documenting architecture specifications, software design description, verification plans, test cases, operating procedures, and safety procedures.
  • Assisting in the verification and validation process. Includes supporting/troubleshooting hardware in the loop and proving ground test and development.
  • Participating in design and development of application software and algorithms for robotic platforms.
  • Work with L6 base machine team on feature requirements that impact the autonomy layer. Decompose / compose requirements.
  • Work with validation teams to ensure that integrated features work as planned.
  • Deliver field data kit support.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with systems teams to ensure that software and hardware designs are delivered on time. Includes requirements development and documentation. Test and validation support. As well as some procurement support activities.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Years of experience: 5-7
  • Degree requirement: Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum


REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Programming: Knowledge of relevant programming languages and tools; ability to test, write, design, debug, troubleshoot and maintain source codes and computer programs.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical issues on hardware, software, application or operation.
  • Artificial Intelligence: Knowledge of the concepts, technologies and methodologies of artificial intelligence (AI); ability to develop, implement and/or apply artificial intelligence products and services in specific industry domain to achieve business goals.
  • Application Development Tools: Knowledge of application and system development; ability to utilize a variety of specific tools and toolkits for developing applications.
  • Software Product Testing: Knowledge of software product testing; ability to design, plan, and execute testing strategies and tactics to ensure software product quality and adherence to stated requirements.
  • Software Development Life Cycle: Knowledge of software development life cycle; ability to use a structured methodology for delivering and managing new or enhanced software products to the marketplace.
