Full Job Description
Brief Role Description

Design, deliver, and govern technical training that enables teams to set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain complex autonomous driving systems at scale. Own the training framework, certification paths, and practical exercises; manage service training facilities, equipment, and system configurations; and lead train-the-trainer programs with internal SMEs. Partner cross-functionally with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to keep curricula current with hardware/firmware/software releases, and document and resolve training issues, and develop equipment-specific content leveraging module communication protocol. Translate customer and operational event engines into practical training content that builds field-ready troubleshooting and service capability.

Role Responsibilities

Providing Technical Training
  • Provide technical instruction, based on the service training curriculum for technicians
  • Participate in and plan 6 months rolling service training schedule, which includes entering the schedules

into the Learning Management System and closing the rosters after every class
  • Communicates with necessary parties to maintain high participation rate
  • Positively Influences attitudes and behaviors of participants in class
  • Shows commitment to quality
  • Demonstrates that respect for customer time and value for money are an integral part of VW service and

parts skill development
  • Champions and supports the branding vision
  • Exhibits self-confidence and presents effectively


Course Development and Course Updates
  • Own the development of curricula, specific courses and technical education methods
  • Provide feedback to the team regarding course development and delivery strategy
  • Manage versioning of curricula, specific courses and technical education methods for instructor-led training (ILT) and web-based training (WBT).
  • Execute and evolve the training delivery strategy, determining what training should be delivered as ILT versus WBT.
  • Analyze capacity and demand for training in resident Learning Center
  • Works within Vehicle Administration policy and procedures


Supporting VariousRegions and Service Partners - As Required Including Generating Reports
  • Assist in the determination of core competencies, training needs and development of training action plans for internal and external staff
  • Works with other functional groups within the company as determined by management
  • Links business processes and strategies
  • Prioritizes internal and external training, administrative functions and travel to best serve regional training needs

Compensation Data

Los Angeles area salary range: $100,000 - $125,000 annually. This represents the anticipated compensation range for this position at the time of posting. Compensation will be determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, certifications, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may participate in incentive compensation programs and receive a comprehensive benefits package.

In addition to base pay, this position may be eligible for additional compensation, including bonus, where applicable.
